A friend of mine once said, "girls, unless you've had an erection, you don't know what it means to be a man...and boys, unless you've had a period, you don't know what it's like to be a woman."
We live in a world where we get so many messages on so many levels in so many ways of who we "should" be as men or woman that a lot of times we lose touch with our fundamental reality of what it means to be this man...namely yourself.
Just as with sanity and sexuality, gender is a wide spectrum of experience. You can borrow bits and pieces from a whole lot of cookbooks without being trapped in any one recipe.
